This unit will be co-taught with 11511 Internet of Things (UG).
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the IoT industry;
2. Apply IoT principles and technologies to design and develop innovative solutions for real-world problems;
3. Formulate solutions to solve problems related to the fields of IoT and Embedded Systems using relevant programming languages and frameworks;
4. Analyse and evaluate existing IoT solutions to identify areas for improvement;
5. Critically assess emerging trends and technologies in IoT; and
6. Demonstrate conversance in key soft skills, such as communication, analysis and inquiry, problem solving, independent and group working, professionalism and social responsibility.

Submission of assessment items
Extensions & Late submissions
Late submission of the research paper without an approved extension will result in a penalty of 10% reduced marks from the total available per calendar day late. A research paper submitted over 3 days late will not be accepted and will be allocated a mark of zero per the revised assessment policy.
Special assessment requirements
Normally an aggregate mark of 50% is required to pass the unit.
The final grade for the subject is then determined according to the following table:
