Learning outcomesAfter successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Explain the theory and concepts of organisational behaviour including developments in this field of study;
2. Apply dimensions of the competencies and behaviours of a professional including being a culture and change leader and curate evidence for a learning portfolio, reflect critically on learning and development relevant to the student's professional life;
3. Apply and advocate for elements of sound ethical principles and the use of an array of HR metrics in evidence decision-making associated with key aspects of organisational behaviour;
4. Explain the factors driving organisational change, changes in the future of work and the workforce (including inclusion, ICT and internationalisation) and discuss the implications for organisational behaviour in the workplace;
5. Explain research in organisational behaviour and its application in a selected organisational context and identify how positive organisational behaviour can enhances employee wellbeing and job performance; and
6. Demonstrate clearly in writing the results of research and analysis of organisational behaviour in a dynamic organisational context.

Special assessment requirements
It is essential that the students come prepared for workshops by listening to the pre-recorded lectures and by reading designated chapters and online content. Please note that Assignment #1 will be workshopped. Assignment #2 will also be further explained during the workshops. To be able to complete the assignments for this unit, you need to attend the workshops and listen to the pre-recorded lectures.

Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.
Students have a responsibility to:
- read, understand and respect the rules concerning plagiarism.
- avoid all acts which could be considered plagiarism.
- familiarise themselves with the conventions of referencing in their discipline.
- attend all formal class sessions.
- provide accurate information about their address and contact details, and to notify Student Administration of changes as soon as they occur; and
- ensure they are correctly enrolled in each unit and that the units are correct for their course of study.
- Regularly check and read announcements sent by the unit convener on the Canvas (UCLearn) site.
