In this unit students will work in groups to develop and produce a short narrative film. Students are expected to research and target a local or national short film festival, with the aim of completing a film that is eligible for submission. In this unit students are encouraged to further their interest and expertise in their chosen specialization, and as such each student will be required to deliver pre-production documents relevant to their chosen specialisation role.
Prerequisites11139 Short Film Production.
Equivalent units9674 Level 2 Film Project.

For group work assessments, only one student in the group needs to upload the group assignment, as long as all the names (full names) of the students are evident in that document/assessment (such as in the credits for a film).

Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.
As much of the material needed to pass this unit occurs in the weekly workshops through group meetings, presentations, sharing of knowledge it is strongly advised that students attend the workshops each week.
