Students must achieve 50% or more of the total mark to pass this unit.

To enhance understanding of academic integrity, all students are expected to complete the Academic Integrity Module (AIM) at least once during their course of study. You can access this module within UCLearn (Canvas) through the 'Academic Integrity and Avoiding Plagiarism' link in the Study Help site.
Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.

In addition, class rosters and University data systems are provided to instructors with students legal names and gender indications. However, knowing that not all students use their legal names or sex/gender assigned at birth, teaching staff in this unit are happy to use the name and/or pronouns that you use. We will take time during our first class together to do introductions, at which point you can share with all members of our learning community what name and pronouns you use. Additionally, if these change at any point during the semester, please us know and we can develop a way to share this information with others in a way that is comfortable and safe for you.
Finally, I understand that often the struggles of balancing coursework, childcare (if applicable) and often another job are exhausting! I hope that you will feel comfortable disclosing your student-parent status to me or any other concern you may have, especially during these challenging times of a global pandemic. This is the first step in my being able to accommodate any special needs that arise. While I maintain the same high expectations and diligence for all student in my classes, I am happy to problem solve with you in a way that makes you feel supported.

As some assessment items will be completed in tutorials, students who are unable to attend tutorials may find it difficult to successfully complete the unit to a high standard. Students who are registered with Inclusion and Engagement and have Reasonable Adjustment Plans will be accommodated as per their required needs.
Students who attend campus for class or other purposes must play their part in keeping our campus and community safe by following these basic guidelines to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission:
- Practise good hand hygiene, washing hands regularly;
