There is an expectation that students will attend and participate in all structured time; lectures and studio sessions. This is because participation through attendance is an important and significant component of learning design. Not only is this relevant to the gaining of knowledge and skills appropriate to this particular subject but it also applies to your degree as a whole. From our experience, there is a significant link between a student's attendance/ participation, and the quality of their learning outcomes demonstrated by the submitted assessable project components.

In this unit, a virtual tutorial has been offered to support the learning of students who are unable to return to Canberra at this time, or who have other access difficulties such as health issues. It is important that space is available for these students, so we ask for your help in supporting them.
If you have allocated to the online tutorial but are able to attend on-campus tutorials, please either change your allocation or get in touch with me so that I can assist you. Of course, the Wellbeing team are also available to you should you need their help: firstname.lastname@example.org
Students who attend campus for class or other purposes must play their part in keeping our campus and community safe by following these basic guidelines:
- Practise good hand hygiene;
- Practise good respiratory hygiene;
- Practise effective physical distancing;
- Follow the directions of teaching and other UC staff regarding safety measures, and
- Stay off campus if you are unwell and get tested according to ACT Government guidelines.
Required IT skills
IT skills commensurate with development and presentation of design projects and proposals that may include, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, CAD, Image manipulation software such as those include in the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) .
Some costs may be incurred through the purchase of prototyping materials or associated costs of machine time for fabrication.
Work placement, internships or practicums
