In this unit students will develop their understanding of Landscape Architectural Design. Landscape planning & design brings together the diverse range of knowledge and skills of landscape architects to address social & ecological problems on sites that range from the urban to the regional, the natural & the artificial, and at the different scales that suit them. In design studio students develop these skills and synthesise their learning from all their subjects, by applying them to real-world briefs, simulating professional practice. As students progress through the sequence of landscape design studios, their degree of difficulty & scope of projects increases and greater professional quality is expected of design project outcomes.
