This unit contextualises a range of current research issues in business and other organisational contexts. Through a range of guest lectures, we will explore current research trends in business and organisational research with respect to issues at the paradigmatic, disciplinary, theoretical, methodological and/or emergent level. This will also provide a critical analysis of extant business and organisational research. It examines sociological, political and philosophical issues that challenge traditional images of business research and it explores interrelationships between business research and the environment, ethics, industrial relations, management and social responsibility, by embedding these issues throughout the unit.
