Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Know how to apply the occupational therapy process with individual with impairments and with communities;
2. Apply specific skills in assessment and intervention to improve the occupational performance of individuals with impairments; and
3. Apply appropriate practice reasoning when working with individuals and communities to enable occupation.

Participation requirements
This unit has been developed to workshop specific professional skills using face-to-face teaching and learning strategies using role play and scenario-based learning. Theoretical content will be uploaded to Canvas, and all practical applications will be delivered in class. Except in the case of extenuating circumstances, 100% attendance at all sessions is expected.
It is also expected that if students cannot meet these participation requirements, they inform the Unit Convener as soon as practical by email.
Required IT skills
This unit involves online meetings in real time using the Virtual Room in your UCLearn teaching site. The Virtual Room allows you to communicate in real time with your lecturer and other students. To participate verbally, rather than just typing, you will need a microphone. For best audio quality we recommend a microphone and speaker headset. This will trigger a tutorial to help familiarise you with the functionality of the virtual room.
