Plagiarism or Copying of Graphic Material: Please note that penalties apply for plagiarism of graphic material. Please note that all assignments must be unique, or else it will be considered as suspected academic misconduct and reported to the Faculty for further action. Penalties can be harsh. If in doubt, please discuss this with the Unit Convenor.

Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.

Please use the studio workshops to develop your assessment items - submit PDFs of your work-in-progress to Canvas for review, mark-up and feedback before the hand-in date. Do not email it to your tutor or unit convenor.
Required IT skills
Students are required to have their own computers in order to access unit materials.
3-d drafting programs, such as Revit or Archicad, are encouraged, but 2-d drafting programs and hand-drawn drawings are also acceptable, as are Deisgn programs (such as Rhino and Sketchup). Graphics programs (such as Illustrator and Photoshop) are not acceptable. Please note that relative unfamiliarity with software is not a valid reason for incomplete technical drawings, please ensure your competency with particular software before you commit to it in order to give yourself the best chance to complete the assignments. If you are not confident with digital platforms, please draft your assignments by hand or apply hybrid approaches of digital and hand-drawn methods.
