Learning outcomes
On completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Evaluate the core concepts and foundations underpinning exercise based musculoskeletal rehabilitation interventions and the implementation thereof; and
2. Review and assess the appropriate selection, safe implementation and delivery of suitable assessments and exercise-based rehabilitation interventions for common musculoskeletal disorders.

2. Clarkson & Doy: Musculoskeletal Assessment - joint range of motion, muscle testing and function : a research-based practical guide, 4th edition, 2021.
3. Hattam & Smeatham: Handbook of special tests in musculoskeletal examination - an evidence-based guide for clinicians, 2nd edition, 2020.

LATE HAND IN POLICY
When a student does not submit an assessment task on or before the due date and time, their mark will be reduced by five percentage points per day from the total mark available (e.g. if an assessment was submitted three days late a mark of 70% would be reduced to 55%, or put another way, if a student was awarded 21 out of 30 and submitted three days late their mark would be reduced to 16.5 out of 30), up to a maximum of seven days at which time the assignment will no longer be accepted, unless there are approved extenuating circumstances.

Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.
Participation requirements
Students are required to attend all laboratories for this unit. Failure to attend will put students at risk of failing the unit and jeopardise their ability to gain professional accreditation. Students are encouraged to practice in labs outside of class time to ensure they have enough hands-on experience to pass this unit. Students will need to make bookings for the labs through Rebecca Tanner.
You are required to gain 50% or above in your practical case oral exam to pass the unit. You are also required to gain 50% overall to pass this unit.
Required IT skills
It is expected that all students will have basic word-processing skills and appropriate IT skills for using Canvas, accessing relevant course material and information, and submitting assignments.
