Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Discuss and justify the planar radiographic technique and protocols and technique modifications applicable to multiple trauma examinations and for patients with more complex health and medical conditions;
2. Compare and contrast a range of radiographic instrumentations for use in multiple trauma examinations;
3. Discuss and justify at an in-depth level the radiographic technique and protocols of breast imaging and in contrast and interventional radiography;
4. Identify and apply appropriate action to be taken in the event of acute patient care situations including contrast media reactions;
5. Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the professional attitudes, ethics and personal behaviour required in the clinical setting; and
6. Critically analyse and define the key components of mammographic image quality and the instrumentation used in breast imaging.
