Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Develop an integrated comprehensive understanding of the structure, function and pathology of the human body as it relates to medical imaging;
2. Derive and critically evaluated understanding of imaging appearances, aetiology, epidemiology and patient management options for imaging related pathologies;
3. Synthesise an understanding of the relationship between the pathologies and pathophysiology with respect to diagnostic imaging procedures; and
4. Articulate and synthesise an understanding of the social, ethical, legal and cultural issues relating to pathologies.

Skills development
Depending on the situation with Covid, if necessary the lectures will be pre recorded and posted on the Cavas subject site. Similar for the tutorials, these will be conducted online. A link will be provided if this is required.

Learner engagement
The students will participate in various learning activities such as lectures, tutorials and self-directed learning. The students' learning will be complimented by the UCLearn Online (Canvas) platform. There will be 2 hours of lectures and 1.5 hour of tutorials (repeated) per week during the semester. Apart from the lectures and tutorials, students are required to engage in at least 4 hours of independent, self-directed learning per week.
Participation requirements
It is recommended for students to attend and participate in and complete the tutorials for Imaging Pathology G (10036). The lectures will be recorded and will be accessible through the UCLearn Online (Canvas) Platform. Cumulative grade of 50% or greater is required to pass the unit.
In accordance with current professional accreditation requirements, to demonstrate you have met the learning outcomes of this unit it is expected that you attempt all elements of assessment to a reasonable standard.
Passing the subject requires: 50% or better overall
