Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Evaluate the principles, functions, and applications of planar medical imaging equipment relating to radiation detection and image production;
2. Analyse and explain the effect of various exposure combinations on image quality and modify x-ray image parameters to achieve optimal image quality in various imaging situations;
3. Evaluate the principles of and methods used in quality management of medical imaging instrumentation; and
4. Apply the principles of radiographic exposure to produce images that adhere to radiation safety standards.
