The News and Media Research Centre (N&MRC) advances public understanding of our changing media environment. The N&MRC is Australia’s only specialist Research Centre dedicated to exploring news consumption, social and digital media networks, and the legal, ethical and social impacts of communication technologies.

Our Team leads both critical and applied studies with partners and institutions in Australia and internationally. We welcome enquiries regarding industry research collaborations, and from prospective Higher Degree by Research (PhD & Masters by Research) and Honours students.

You can find out more about the Centre on our About Us page and through our News and Events page. Discover our upcoming seminars over on our Seminar Series page, see what our research labs (Critical Conversation; Digital+; Media) are up to, and read about the projects our researchers and students are working on on our Research Projects page.
