The Major in Accounting aims to provide students with a transformative educational experience to produce highly competent, work-ready graduates with in-depth discipline knowledge, professional and technical skills and attributes to work as socially responsible accounting professionals in the private and public sectors. Through a range of practical, interdisciplinary real world learning experiences, graduates will have well-developed skills in communication, networking, cross-cultural awareness and teamwork - future proofing UC's graduates to be able to adapt and contribute to the future of the 'knowledge society'. Graduates of this course will be able to commence professional study programs with the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia. Students taking this major will complete a series of carefully integrated units in financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and finance.
Specialist majors are only available to students in the course for which the major is required.
