The major will allow students to explore a range of design skills that will foster creative thinking in order to develop a design approach or philosophy to fashion, which cumulates to a final negotiated collection or concept. Through a series of lectures, demonstrations and workshops students will be introduce to historical and cultural concepts of design, which will be explored through mark making techniques, life drawing, graphics and CAD illustration. Students will also learn the basics of business, enterprise, sustainable practices, management, global communication and brand awareness for fashion.
