UC-RISE Research Theme: Sport Integrity
The University of Canberra is establishing a world-first, international, trans-disciplinary Sport Integrity Research Institute. Sport Integrity is a UC Research Institute for Sport and Exercise (UC-RISE) Research Theme using a values and ethics framework.
Under UC’s Sport Strategy & Implementation Plan 2021 – 2026, UC plans to become Australia’s leading university for sport education and research, focusing on gender equality and women in sport, sports integrity and building a culture of wellness.
Achieving this ambitious aim requires a team of researchers and teachers working at the cutting-edge to support the demand for excellence in this field internationally. Endowment funding will drive this research area to attract the best staff and students in this competitive field. Sport Integrity is a developing discipline. The Institute’s network will support industry-designed projects to respond to complex threats to sport both domestically and internationally.
