UC Endowment fund – giving to the future »
An endowment is a sum of money given to the University to invest.
The original amount is never spent, it is invested by the University and grows over time. The income generated by the investment is then used in a way agreed by you, the donor.
You may choose to give to the general Foundation Endowment Fund and the University will direct funds where they are most needed. Or you may prefer to support a particular area that you choose – for example, an annual scholarship or a specific field of research. There are no limits on what you can achieve, the University makes unique agreements that reflect the passions of you, our generous valued donors.
To discuss your areas of interest and find out more, please contact the Foundation Team.
Memorial or celebration »
Memorial or celebration gifts can also be referred to as Named gifts.
They allow you to make a gift in your name or as a way to memorialise or celebrate someone special or inspiring to you. They are most commonly set up to support scholarships and prizes but can also be made in support of public lectures, collections, academic positions and facilities.
Our team will work with you to tailor a solution that reflects what is unique about the person being celebrated and/or memorialized.

Pre-Tax donations for staff »
Staff at UC are extremely committed to supporting UC students, with many making a regular pre-tax donation to the Student Empowerment Fund (SEF) from their salary. This fund provides support funding to a student in crisis - such as the unprecedented COVID-19 situation which saw many students lose their casual jobs. The SEF is administered by Student Welfare who provide a range of other support services to keep students progressing towards their goals.
