The WJ Weeden Postgraduate Research Scholarship was made possible by a generous donation to the University from the late Mr W J Weeden, OBE, who was for many years a valuable member of Council, and esteemed UC staff member Margaret Weeden.
The Weeden Scholarship is awarded to applicants of exceptional research potential undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy course.
The Scholarship provides support to post graduate students across a variety of disciplines. The Weeden Trust is currently funding 15 of the University's most promising PhD students in Education, Sciences and Engineering and Applied Science.
Gifts like the Weeden's have an enduring effect for the university and benefits reach far beyond the individual, influencing our community and the wider world.
