This seminar introduces you to some of the principles of digital and social media marketing. It gives you an overview of key concepts and strategies in leveraging digital platforms for marketing purposes. You will gain insights into the significance of digital marketing in today's business landscape, including social media's role in brand building and customer engagement. The seminar covers a range of topics including the digital consumers, how to engage with them on social media, the importance of creating compelling content, the role of digital analytics, how to use various digital tools effectively, and the latest trends and digital marketing and communication technology.
Dr. Momoko Fujita is an expert in digital and social media marketing and communication. Her research focuses on the positive and negative influences of digital media and technology on consumers, organisations, and society. Her work has appeared in leading international journals, including Technological Forecasting and Social Change and the Journal of Business Research. Prior to entering academia, she worked in various digital marketing roles in the public and private sectors, including tertiary education, aquaculture, and information and communication technology. She brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to her teaching, research, and service.
