UC’s Bruce campus will be transformed into a spring festival for its 2025 Open Day, with a host of activities for the whole family. The iconic UC blue donuts will sweeten the exploration of UC’s course and career information, interactive faculty experiences, scholarships and pathways to study at UC, student services and campus tours. And all this will be complemented by a jam-packed line-up of live entertainment, headlined by ARIA-nominated Aussie icon Jack River.
9 September 2025: The University of Canberra (UC) invites families from across Canberra and regional NSW to its 2025 UC Open Day Fest on Saturday, 20 September 2025.
Complementing the traditional UC Open Day information sessions and activities, is an exciting entertainment line-up for all ages. Live music performances by Canberra artists Phurpax and Apricot Ink, and Jett Blyton, headlined by ARIA-nominated Aussie icon Jack River; SLAM! Pro Wrestling; dedicated kids activity zone; food carts; and more.
A passionate advocate for making UC accessible and welcoming for school leavers, adults returning to study, and equity students, Vice-Chancellor and President, The Honourable Bill Shorten is looking forward to his first UC Open Day Fest.
“This year our Open Day Fest will hit differently. It will reflect the essence of our campus where students have a sense of belonging. We want to meet them where they are – aligned with their goals, at their pace, on a path they choose.
“So, whether you are a school leaver; an adult learner returning to study; or UC alumni looking to reconnect, come along to our Open Day Fest – it's a day designed for everyone.”
A dedicated Adult Learners Hub will make its debut at this year’s UC Open Day Fest, where potential mature-aged students can find out more about UC’s recognition of prior learning approach and pathways to study.
For undergraduate students who think that higher education is out of their reach, we encourage them to explore the Student Services and Scholarships Hub.
Among the wide range of equity scholarships offered at UC, is the transformative UC Snow Scholarships Program. The Snow Scholarships are intended to create opportunities for students from Canberra and regional or rural NSW to overcome barriers they may face to higher education. With just a few weeks to go before applications close on 12 October 2025, and 16 scholarships worth $30,000 per year on offer, this is an opportunity not to be missed for those who qualify. More information on the UC Snow Scholarships Program can be found on the UC website (Snow Scholarships - University of Canberra).
