9 July 2018: University of Canberra Capitals recruit Kristy Wallace has arrived in Canberra ahead of the 2018/19 WNBL season.
Wallace received the surprise of her life earlier this year when she was drafted into the WNBA despite having torn her anterior cruciate ligament in January.
Instead of training with the Atlanta Dream, she has linked up with the UC Capitals to reignite her chances of playing professional ball in the United States.
Wallace will complete her rehabilitation in Canberra before taking the court with the UC Capitals later this year. The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract.
