Applied behaviour change
Human behaviour, and the difficulties of changing it, lie at the core of many pressing contemporary problems. Almost all our current health challenges—maintaining harmonious relations between groups of people, creating better opportunities in life for people currently denied them, and reducing the toll human behaviour takes on the natural environment—can be ameliorated or mitigated by more effective and efficient behaviour change strategies.
There are four research groups operating within this area which focus on producing durable and persistent positive changes in individual, group, and social behaviours for enhancing individual and community wellbeing.
