Biography

Joanne brings over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher and school leader across primary and inclusive education settings. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and has led significant school and system-level reforms across the ACT Education Directorate. Her work focuses on driving initiatives that strengthen teaching quality, enhance curriculum implementation, and improve student outcomes.

She brings extensive expertise in curriculum design, teacher professional learning, and the application of evidence-informed practices to enhance teaching and learning. Joanne is passionate about supporting teachers to strengthen their pedagogical practices so all learners achieve success.

She is deeply committed to mentoring and empowering early career educators, supporting their transition into the profession and fostering their growth as confident, reflective practitioners. Her work is grounded in a commitment to improving student outcomes through impactful teaching strategies and collaborative school partnerships. With extensive experience in designing and delivering high-quality educator development programs, Joanne is dedicated to building teacher capability and supporting sustainable school improvement.
