Biography

Gemma Clutton is a Lecturer and Unit Convenor in Initial Teacher Education within the Faculty of Education. She has taught in the ACT since 2011 across secondary and senior secondary schools, with experience also in early intervention preschool and primary contexts. With a background in inclusive education, Gem has served predominantly as a literacy leader and English teacher, and has worked in cross-disciplinary programs supporting diverse learners.

Her teaching and research interests centre on inclusive pedagogy, accessible technologies, and supporting the transition of new educators into the profession. She has presented at educational technology conferences on accessible pedagogies and has published work advocating for neurodiverse learning profiles, including monotropic attention in early learning.
