Gundaroo Gundog Winery

Lighting, ventilation, space are just a few of the considerations necessary when designing a winery. Architecture and Landscape Design students had the opportunity to provide input into how they would go about implementing a small winery as part of their Work Integrated Learning Programme, in partnership with Gundog Winery in Gundaroo.

Working in teams is a critical skill for a professional career and students needed to be committed, organised and team players. Competing against each other, students from the winning teams in the Cellar Door Development project were awarded bottles of Gundog Wine and had their designs on display at the current Cellar Door. Two very cute gun dogs also made an appearance at the prize ceremony.

Geoff Burton, owner of the Gundog Winery, was highly impressed with the second year Faculty of Arts and Design students. He commended their high quality work and said that they were the best cohort of students he had even seen.
