The University of Canberra offers a range of opportunities for study at the postgraduate research level.  Research courses include PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), Professional Doctorate and Masters by Research.  Supervision is provided by academic staff who are active researchers in their research field.

The Research Students' Office (RSO) oversees the management and awarding of research higher degrees (HDR's).

The RSO's responsibilities for Research Higher Degree students include:

• admissions: domestic and international
• enrolments
• administration of candidature
• examinations
• scholarships
