Negotiated Concept for Fashion 2 will continue to undertake research and develop personal responses and concepts in the form of a major project. Students will investigate and develop objectives to identify individually negotiated project outcomes. Students will engage fully with their responsibilities as a designer (product developer) and demonstrate an understanding of how their work fits within the fashion industry. The unit also provides an opportunity for students to showcase their outcomes through a collaborative fashion event.
1. Undertake independent research and experimentation appropriate to generating practical projects;
2. Synthesise complex design concepts and apply creative solutions to achieve realised products that are supported by appropriate branding tools; and
3. Source and select suitable materials with an informed knowledge of their aesthetic, functional and performance properties.
