As the capstone unit for the Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation, this unit provides clinical placement and professional development opportunities to support students achieve key competencies and meet the ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist Professional Standards; as well as build their professional identity as graduate health professionals entering the Australian healthcare environment.
1. Apply relevant knowledge and skills across a range of health care environments to demonstrate autonomy for safe, effective and inclusive practice as a graduate-level exercise physiologist;
2. Integrate and reflect on respectful professional practice that aligns with the requirements of the placement environment, the ESSA Code of Professional Conduct and Ethical Practice and other codes of conduct, and legislation and policies that may apply;
3. Formulate and defend exercise physiology treatment planning and decision-making for complex clients and contemporary practice scenarios through sound application of clinical knowledge, skills and evidence, critical thinking and problem-solving, and person-centred care; and
4. Assemble professional evidence of core competencies and placement activities, reflective practice, and interprofessional learning, in line with the ESSA Accredited Exercise Physiologist Professional Standards.

Learning outcomes
