This project-based unit requires students to undertake work-related research to investigate a current problem in public administration or public policy. The unit draws flexibly on offerings from the University's specialised master classes to meet the needs of APS agencies.
1. Define and map the context underlying a public sector problem;
2. Apply research and evaluation skills for establishing best practice solutions;
3. Create an implementable, evidence-based solution; and
4. Design and advocate for an implementable innovation using critical problem solving and communication skills.
