CorequisitesMust be enrolled in 132JA Master of Occupational Therapy, 174JA Graduate Diploma in Nutritional Science, 302JA Graduate Certificate in Pharmacotherapy, 868AA Graduate Certificate in Human Movement Science OR permission required from the unit convener.

Submission of assessment items
Extensions & Late submissions
When a student does not submit an assessment task on or before the due date and time, their mark will be reduced by five percentage points per day from the total mark available (e.g. if an assessment was submitted three days late a mark of 70% would be reduced to 55%, or put another way, if a student was awarded 21 out of 30 and submitted three days late their mark would be reduced to 16.5 out of 30), up to a maximum of seven days at which time the assignment will no longer be accepted, unless there are approved extenuating circumstances.
Students must apply for extensions prior to the due date of the graduate assignment. Please follow the information available on Canvas.
Students who are unable to complete lab exam or the quiz have 3 calendar days to submit their deferred exam request and supporting documentation to the appropriate Canvas dropbox.
Students have a responsibility to uphold University standards on ethical scholarship. Good scholarship involves building on the work of others and use of others' work must be acknowledged with proper attribution made. To enhance understanding of academic integrity, all students are expected to complete the Academic Integrity Module (AIM) at least once during their course of study. Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.
Applying for Deferred Exams and Assignment Extensions
Students applying for deferrals must follow the information provided on canvas.
All requests including forms and supporting documentation must be uploaded to the appropriate dropbox.
It is the student's responsibility to check if the request has been approved (completed = approved; incomplete = not approved)
Students have 3 calendar days from the exam/quiz date to apply for deferrals, and must provide appropriate documentation
Student's requiring an extension must complete the extension request form and submit it and supporting documentation to the appropriate Canvas Dropbox PRIOR to the due date. It is the student’s responsibility to check for approval. Further information, and the request form is available on Canvas.
Engaging in theory material is expected through listening/watching the online recordings. Material may be presented as short videos or prerecorded lectures. Students will also be provided with associated theory/lecture notes
Laboratory attendance is expected. Non-attendance at laboratory classes is likely to diminish a student's ability to meet unit learning objectives, and will likely impair assessment performance. Laboratory attendance records will be kept and can be used as evidence of individual student engagement with the unit.
It is expected that students will work through the online component of this course in a timely fashion.
Required IT skills
It is expected that students will possess UC IT entry skills. Students are expected to use the Canvas site for this unit to access all of the required materials and to complete the online assessments.
Work placement, internships or practicums
Students will be required to complete a laboratory induction prior to the commencement of the on-campus laboratory classes. Students are expected to follow laboratory rules outlined in the Laboratory Induction document at all times. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the laboratory.
