Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Understand the fundamental concepts related to the kinematics, kinetics, dynamics and three-dimensional dynamics of rigid bodies;
2. Perform position analysis of serial and parallel robots;
3. Undertake Jacobian analysis, statics, and stiffness analysis of serial and parallel robots; and
4. Carry out the dynamic analysis of serial and parallel robots.

Student participation in lectures, tutorials, laboratories, and online activities will enhance the student's understanding of the unit content and therefore the quality of assessment responses. Lack of participation may result in the student's inability to satisfactorily pass assessment items. Attendace in all lab sessions from Week#2 until Week#13 is mandatory for this unit.
