In this unit, students will build on their knowledge and skills acquired in Postgraduate Psychology Research Projects 1 and 2. Students will conduct research and produce a manuscript based on their proposal and ethics application. This will involve data collection and analysis, writing a master's level research report, and regular meetings with their research supervisor.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Select appropriate methodological techniques and demonstrate advance competence in research methodology; and
2. Demonstrate advanced competence in written communication of professional psychology research.

To pass this unit students must complete all assessment items.

You are expected to have regular meetings with your research supervisor, as appropriate to your project, and as negotiated between you and your supervisor. 

Required IT skills

It is assumed that students have a high degree of familiarity and skill with word processing software. It is necessary for students to be competent using specialist software for your data analyses - please discuss with your supervisor.
