In this unit students will deepen their theoretical understanding of trauma and loss and grief, and its impact on people's lives. Students will further develop their counselling skills using knowledge of trauma and loss and grief to inform their counselling practice.
1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of major theories, models, skills and techniques specific to the trauma and counselling; and
2. Formulate a working framework for practice in loss and grief counselling.
