There are no set texts for this unit as I want you to research the literature and develop your own reading list, but the unit web site will provide some links to materials that will get you started in the right direction.
Submission of assessment items
Extensions & Late submissions
This unit is very sensitive to the shifting time pressures on students. I am very happy to grant extensions to students who need to organise their time creatively. However, it is important that you submit an extension request form at least a week before the due date so we can adjust our work plans to accommodate. It is also important to make sure you keep talking to your tutor, and to keep them informed of your progress. If you foresee any potential problems, please ensure you negotiate extensions early with your tutor to reduce your stress and to help your tutor manage their time, too.
This unit requires quite a lot of personal engagement. If you only engage with the unit in classes (or worse, miss classes altogether) you will have serious problems completing a good final project. If this is one of the last units in your degree it's really vital you make sure you put the recommended time into this unit or you risk failing. If you feel you're falling behind please see your lecturer. You will not be judged in any way - we want to see you succeed, but we can only help if you ask for it.

Required IT skills
Students require advanced IT skills to complete this unit. Students are expected to have at least intermediate level knowledge in 3D production, commensurate with having completed at least one university of diploma level unit in 3D production using software like Maya, Blender, 3D Studio Max, Rhino and so on. If in doubt, please discuss with your lecturer.
