Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Synthesise and apply planar radiographic techniques and protocols, including modifications, to improve diagnostic image quality, minimise radiation dose and demonstrate required anatomy or potential pathology;
2. Safely and competently perform simulated radiographic examinations of the pelvis, hip and femur, shoulders, girdle, and humerus, spine and skull, demonstrating advanced professionalism and autonomy in patient communication and care;
3. Critically evaluate the use of radiographic images using recognised criteria; and
4. Integrate and apply knowledge of anatomical structures and common pathological and traumatic conditions relevant to radiographic examinations.
