Letters to the Crooked Timber' is a highly emotive collection of poetry which strives to unravel the riddling complexity of human conscience and transgression. Surrounding the Red Rape of Berlin, an unnamed Russian soldier grapples with his culpability through letters to the past, to a more innocent self written in an epistolary poetic medium and through the lens of Kantian ethics.
