Snowy Mountains Grammar School - Year 11
This piece of creative writing was my first real attempt at a short story. It follows the life of a teenage boy named Jeremy. Jeremy is struggling with school and things. One day his mum, who wakes him up every day, doesn’t. He is confused but continues onwith his day assuming she left for work early. He has to ride his bike to school as the bus doesn’t come to pick him up. He gets to school late still more confused as his entire time he didn’t see a single car of person. Once he gets to school, he goes tosign in late but there isn't anyone at the front office. He is starting to get worried and runs up to his classroom but finds no one. He searches the entire school, but still, no one is to be seen. Jeremy is really worried now and decides if there was people they would be at the beach. He then rides to the beach and sees that there is no one in sight. The story is then about how he has to overcome obstacles in order to stay alive, or just simply sane.
