This piece is inspired by the writing and style of H.P.Lovecraft. I was reading his stories at the time and felt the want to try it my self. Despite the inspiration, the piece is still original and well written.
This piece is about a man who discovered secrets about old gods who used once ruled the domain people dwell on. Upon learning this he at first sees them as bringers of prosperity and knowledge but once he delves deeper into their secrets, he realises that if these gods were brought back to humanity, they would only bring horror and death. He tries to hide the knowledge of their existence. However, he fails. Their secrets are spread,and people start to delve into their powers. This has only happened recently and the man is facing an internal crisis of whether to end his life now or wait to see if something changes.
