DRIVE!

Abbotsleigh - Year 11

DRIVE! manufactures the nostalgia of the 70s-00s.

Despite the stylistic differences of each decade, the 4-set posters intend to convey the continued sentiment of a hope that we all wish to finally grasp, or latch onto.

This genre of posters often contains words of encouragement and empowerment (although at times shallow and futile), and consists of a common motif of a vehicle, hinting at the capitalistic motives behind these posters. While not necessarily a critique - in fact, I tend to have a soft spot for the visuals of the past - this modern, entirely digital remake showcases how we can replicate the same feeling and aesthetics from any given time, as well as highlighting the historical context.
