Blue Sky Thinking

How can everyday technology such as mobile telephones create photographic images? During a photography workshop, located in the Canberra City, students were tasked with capturing a series of digital pictures focusing on architecture and framing. This image was inspired by the aspirations of ‘blue sky thinkers’, finding an ideal when surrounded by not ideals; this metaphorically indicates an iPhone camera instead of a professional, photographic camera. By utilising the mobile application ‘Snapseed’ during production, adjustments of vital photographic features such as ‘exposure’, ‘saturation’ and ‘contrast’ were applied to this photograph. Blue Sky Thinking, 2022 understands innovation in the world of photography, an ever changing medium of expression.
