Out of the fire comes hope

My photo is of a highland bull that I found wandering the bush at Mogo near Batemans Bay, the fence that had once kept it in had burnt down due to the summer bushfires at the beginning of 2020. There is no doubt that climate change was a driving force behind these harsh bushfires, the ongoing drought, heat waves and global temperatures rising. The Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements, which was commissioned by the Australian government, says that global warming over the next 20 to 30 years is inevitable. This photo represents and displays the growth that occurred in some areas with the fresh green grass in the foreground giving contrast to the black charred bushland behind the bull. It is a reminder that we must combat climate change before its effects are irreversible.
