Exercise Heat Acclimation Predictor
The Exercise Heat Acclimation Predictor estimates adaptive responses for resting heart rate and resting core temperature, end-exercise heat rate, end-exercise core and skin temperature, whole-body sweat rate, sweat sodium concentration, and plasma volume based on heat acclimation protocol characteristics. The predictor also provides prediction intervals, which indicate where data from future studies consistent with the ones included in the review, could lie.
The predictions are based on Bayesian multi-level meta-regression modelling following an extensive search of the heat acclimation literature and published in the manuscript: Influence of exercise heat acclimation protocol characteristics on adaptation kinetics: A quantitative review.
The website only provides predicted outcomes within a range of input conditions for ambient temperature, relative humidity, days of exposure, and exposure duration per day. The Heat Acclimation Predictor does not offer recommendations. No use will be made of the data entered into the predictor or the outcomes generated.
