This specialisation explores the structure, integrity, aesthetics and long-term stability of heritage materials while developing your understanding of their cultural significance and care. Through practical and theoretical learning, you will investigate how materials deteriorate, how their significance is assessed and how appropriate conservation approaches are developed and applied. The specialisation provides a foundation for professional practice in heritage conservation, museums, galleries and cultural heritage management.
