This minor provides a theoretical and practical understanding of the chemistry behind food. The four units comprising the minor cover the scientific components and composition of raw food materials and their behaviour during the formulation, processing, storage and evaluation of food products. The regulatory principles and practices that underpin the food sciences are a major focus of the minor. This minor is highly recommended for those seeking and in-depth understanding of the field of food science.
