Introduction

This minor aims to produce socially responsible global citizens. Students will engage in practical, philosophical and theoretical analysis of the key human rights and social justice issues in the world today. Students will have the opportunity to develop and reflect critically on their own ethical perspectives and the influences which shape them, while concurrently developing an awareness and understanding of culturally diverse perspectives. This minor will be of particuar relevance to students interested in pursuing careers in international aid, diplomacy, or the development of international policy. This minor is open to all students of the University.
