This minor develops a sound understanding of a wide range of biological principles and analytical and field applications. It provides: a foundation for students pursuing a career in industry or as secondary biology teachers (second teaching area); and, support for research or professions in other scientific discipline areas.
Assumed knowledge: Familiarity with Biology or Chemistry to Year 11/12 would be useful.
For students proceeding to the Graduate Diploma in Education note that each teaching major requires a minimum of four units at Level 2 or above. Note: units studied under the Minor in Biology 2 can not count towards completion of this Major.
