This major develops an integrated understanding of the fundamental principles and methods of environmental management, including those relevant to environmental science, and natural resources management. It provides students with a sound knowledge of environmental processes and skills in economics and environmental law.
The major is available to students across the University, including in the areas of Sustainability and Education. It also provides a foundation for students who may wish to extend their environmental science knowledge through cross-institutional enrolment at other institutions.
Prerequisite and/or Corequisite: Introduction to Economics is a prerequisite for Environmental and Resource Economics. The units Environmental Planning and Assessment, and, Environmental Conflict and Management, each have a prerequisite of at least 40 credit points.
