Introduction

This major will provide graduates with a strong understanding of the characteristics of Australian democracy, including the roles of key actors and institutions both within and outside the formal structures of government. It will provide an insight into the processes and practices of policy makers and will introduce students to the challenges of developing sound policy in a democracy.
