This major develops a sound understanding of the chemical principles related to pharmaceuticals and their development and use. It provides a foundation for students pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical industry, as secondary chemistry teachers, or entry into a postgraduate course in Pharmacy and supports research or professions in other scientific discipline areas.
Students in the Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science will complete this Major as 21cp. The remaining units are restricted choice units for these students.
Students should note that unit 0483 Concepts in Biology must be completed before enrolling in unit 6530 Biochemistry.
